Stocks paired their losses on Monday. It is now down 2.52% at 922.34. S&P was stuck in a narrow range almost all day long today. The volume at the exchange remained also insubstantial. It is now slightly shy of the 3 billion range with a down volume of 2.7 billion. Industrials sector is the biggest laggard, down 3.14%.
Gold and Silver are also trading lower at $927.85 and $14.07 an ounce, down 1.11% and 5.06% respectively. Crude oil, on the other hand is still above $70 a barrel, down 2%.
European bourses closed the day trying some fresh lows. FTSE 100 at 4326.01, down 2.61%, DAX at 4889.94, down 3.54% and CAC 40 at 3219.58, down 3.20%.
It was over all a choppy session at the stock exchange today.
